Dry Creek Elementary School Home

School Mission

Our endeavor is for each member of our school community to follow the Critter Code.  By understanding our code each of us feels capable, connected, and contributing. We ask each of our students to be personally responsible for their learning in hopes of them becoming self-motivated, life-long learners.

School Vision

The crucial nature of our work demands that our school, its families, and the community work in partnership together.

TRUSD Mission

To inspire each student to extraordinary achievement every day.

Principal's Message

Welcome back to school!

I hope you all have had a restful summer.  For us, it has been a busy summer preparing for the upcoming school year.  Throughout this school year, I hope to accomplish many tasks with the help of the students, faculty, staff and parents.  The creation of a solid school community where teaching and learning is a priority for everyone will allow us to implement the expectations of Twin Rivers Unified School District, while enjoying each day to it’s fullest.

We have also been busy planning and preparing for another busy year with many fun and engaging activities.  We are looking forward to building on all the wonderful activities that we offered last year and are eager to expand these opportunities.  As always, we welcome all our families to come out and support your children in the various activities which we hold during the course of the year.

We encourage you to save the date for our annual Back to School Night on Thursday, August 27th.  More information will be sent home in anticipation of this event.

I would also welcome you to visit our district website at www.twinriversusd.org for upcoming community events and information on California’s newest unified school district.  Once again, enjoy the rest of your break, and we will see you all very soon!

Fondly,
Mr. Sal Garcia
Principal

Parent Conferences

Parent Conferences will be held the week of November 16th-20th.  Teachers will be sending home times, so please let them know asap if those times will work.

NEW THIS YEAR...instead of having 2 full days off devoted to conferences, we will instead have 4 minimum days on M, T, Th, and F of that week, with school dismissed at 1:15 p.m.  The morning of the late start Wednesday will also be used for conference times.  We are looking forward to seeing you all, so we can go over the brand new report cards!

Critter Carnival was a success!

Thank you to all the families who came to enjoy our annual Critter Carnival.  Everyone seemed to have a fantastic time, and the event was a huge success.  We appreciate all of the family volunteers who helped run the class booths!  You all make Dry Creek a wonderful place to be!
